Karen Brown
Karen is an experienced elementary school teacher who is strongly connected to nature and has built her life and business on her farm property with her husband, Steven. Bright Angel Farm grows, harvests, and sells cherries and grapes. In 2023, Karen established Heart to Heart with Horses and offers Equine Assisted Learning sessions to individuals and small groups. Karen is also a yoga instructor with certification at the 200 and 500 hour levels. She is happiest on the farm surrounded by her animals and loved ones, incorporating all areas of her expertise and passion.

Kara Durant
Kara has a Bachelor's degree in Education and taught in the Vernon School District for seven years before moving on to complete her certification as a Neuro Change Practitioner. In 2024, she completed her Reiki Master Teacher training and offers in-house and mobile Reiki sessions and training. Kara is passionate about energy work and personal growth. Her happy place is connecting with nature, often by hiking, camping, paddle boarding, and snow shoeing.

Grounded Girls
Located in Vernon, BC.Learn and explore different ways to connect to the self, others, and nature through practices such as yoga, visualization, writing, and mindfulness. Daily sessions on the farm will incorporate a variety of personal and group opportunities, including but not limited to, connecting outside with the land and horses, movement and stillness in the yoga studio, and collaboration and creation in the school house. Join in on the fun and get grounded!
